Summary:

BlueCloud Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide individualized nursing support for an elementary student in the Birdsboro, PA area. This position begins with Extended School Year (ESY) services and has the potential to continue into a full-time assignment for the upcoming school year for the right candidate.

About the Position

The selected nurse will provide 1:1 medical support to a student with specialized healthcare needs, including:

  • Diabetes management
  • Seizure monitoring
  • Autism-related support

This role includes accompanying the student on the school bus to and from school each day. Transportation time is fully paid and included in your daily hours.

ESY Schedule

June 15, 2026 - July 30, 2026

  • Approximately 5 hours per day
  • Monday through Thursday
  • Bus pickup in Douglassville area around 8:15 AM
  • Bus drop-off around 1:15 PM
  • Paid transportation time included

2026-2027 School Year Opportunity

Candidates who are a strong fit may have the opportunity to continue into the regular school year:

  • Full-time schedule
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Approximately 7.5 hours per day
  • Bus pickup in Douglassville area around 7:35 AM
  • Bus drop-off around 3:10 PM
  • Paid transportation time included

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care throughout the school day.
  • Monitor and assist with diabetes-related health needs.
  • Observe for seizure activity and follow established care plans.
  • Support the student's safety during transportation and while at school.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania LPN License.
  • School nursing, pediatric, or special needs experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a 1:1 setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Dependable and student-focused approach to care.
